Basic Lua Scripts On Server Files or Steam Workshop?

So to any Garrys Mod server devs I have a question that i've been stuck on for some time now. I cannot figure out if I have basic Lua scripts for example a script that doesn't require models or any extra picture files, is it faster for the script to be a addon on the server files or to have it download from steam workshop on the workshop collection.
