I think most servers disables the mic, because what you mentioned like minges screaming or just expecting CS1.6 quality mics. Also I think we don't use mics because you will never know when player speaks IC or OOC, and can lead to misunderstood. Also you can't control mic that easily talk in whisper, on yell, on looc, because of voice radius, ofc it could be somesort of plugin. But how people would interact who doesn't want to speak or even don't have a mic, or even don't wanna hear random person going in big discussion. And the biggest problem it would be for admins, they wouldn't have the logs, because of logs you can deal any problem if needed.
