To use the shields and hull trainers, you have to do all of the following:

• Click each of the buttons: "Shield Damage", "Hull Damage"
  
• Move the sliders LEFT for player (take 0% damage)

And I second all the above credit and thanks to OP and author - really, really appreciate what you're doing to take the grind out of this game.

This is what happens when they don't say anything on the trainer, i will have to try that in reverse order when i can use the new trainer. /so yeah i was making the enemies hit harder and my shields and hull way too weak.
