Hey guys,

One issue with Gmod is how much space it can take up when you join a few servers over your time playing which can take up a lot of space on your PC. You may try to unsubscribe and then delete them from your addons folder but see that this only removed a couple of gigs (In my case).

What if I told you that when you join a server, it downloads the content to your PC automatically, without actually subscribing to it from a workshop page. To remove it, simply go to:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\downloads\server

  • CTRL+A (Selects all files)

  • Hit your delete button.

  • Click 'Okay" and delete everything

  • Enjoy that WONDERFUL storage space

If you already knew this then don't worry, keep up the good work chief! If not, you now know where the game hides its server files.

You can delete all of it safely, it'll only re-download once you join the server again (Useful for getting rid of content for servers you no longer play).

Enjoy!
