I came out to my friends first. Of course, I was probably last of all of my LGBTQ friends to come out. Only because it took forever to find out that I was demisexual, during high school, we only heard of gay, bi, and straight. So I was a little lost. I didnt tell my parents until years later.

I was afraid my family wouldn't accept me, the idea that I may end up with someone of the same gender was not what they hoped. My friends, and my new friends to come, were much more accepting and quick to support. My family needed time.
