That is until the new Edge 80 update came out (which at the moment you have to manually update). Microsoft completely remade their browser from the ground up very recently and replaced its core engine with the Chromium engine. This allows the browser to display sites the same as Chrome would, support Chrome extensions, etc. On benchmarks, it's actually faster than Chrome.
