Can't really give you a solid number on containers, they scale with usage. Docker is very easy to learn if you're interested.

I do have a home lab as well with 6 containers:
- Plex
- NextCloud
- Rocket.chat
- Gmod server in docker
- 2xGitLab runners

ye i play a bit with containers, i have them in a nested enviroment in a small homelab server Plex, qBittorr, TVheadend in the mix
