I'll preface this post with a disclaimer: the last Call of Duty game I played before MW was Black Ops 2. I've missed a fair amount.
MW 2019 feels like a breath of fresh air to me. While it got off to a shaky start in October, I think it's really starting to come into its own. We're now into the third season, with more content still to come. The release of the free Battle Royale game mode only helped to bolster its popularity further. It's not without its flaws, though. Some of the maps are poorly designed, as well as the game being plagued by stability issues (across all the platforms). I'm lucky enough to have a powerful enough machine to not have to worry about performance, but the same can't be said for everybody.
However, provided those issues are solved, and if they keep it up, I think we could be entering a new golden age of CoD.
