A new rumor claims that the unannounced Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in active development and will be releasing as early as 2020 for next-gen consoles.
Recently, a post was discovered on Pastebin made by someone claiming to be a third-party game developer from Europe with knowledge about the PlayStation 5. This post has gained some traction online, despite there being no way to confirm its validity, and it's likely that it is nothing more than a hoax. Even so, there are some that have latched on to the information in the "leak," including claims about one of the PS5's supposed games, Grand Theft Auto 6.
According to the leaker, Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch in holiday 2020, presumably as a PS5 launch title in November of that year, and it will be a one month timed-exclusive for PS5. The leaker also says that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature not one, but two large cities for players to explore, based on Miami and New York. If true, this would mean that Grand Theft Auto 6 would feature both Vice City (Miami) and Liberty City (New York).
