Well. That depends on whether you mean gender (ie male, female etc) or sexuality (straight, gay, lesbian etc). The two categories should never be conflated.
For genders, science has pretty much proven that nobody is just a single gender, psychologically. Everybody is a bit gender-fluid.
If we are talking physiologically, there are three biological genders, male, female and transgender (meaning that the person has both male and female genitalia or has, for example, a penis as well as internal female organs such as ovaries.)
On a psychological / socio-psychological level, that is pretty much up to the individual.
