Is this game dead?

To me at least yes, sadly due to lack of content me and many others have lost interest and moved to other games. Plus they nerfed my hero like 100 times over in like the past 3 years. Maybe if they made a mass advertisement campaign and added a really huge amount of changed content to give both oldies and new people something fresh to do it could come back in some way.
