Now, on singleplayer games, modding is amazing if done right, but i don't know if this counts as cheating.
On games like Sims or GTA, cheating for speeding up reasons,like money and all ,if used like once or twice because you are super bored, it's really ok.
Regardless,I personally prefer not to cheat.
Cheating in SP is boring thing. You can't listen how killed NPC butt is burning up. Or you can't challenge against devs/admins, and play undetected (in case if you wrote your own cheats).
