I just completed Farcry 5 story. What is yall's opinion on the ending?

I personally am very upset with the ending of the story and have given consideration to purchasing New Dawn just to follow through with the story. I mean, I get the story, but in the end it just made me feel nihilistic. How bout anyone else?
