RE: Worst Game

I don't really want to say what game it was because I feel bad, but it was a story-driven, choose-your-own-adventure, slice-of-life type of game with RPG mechanics (stat management, relationship management, etc). I get a kick out of these sorts of games and don't mind playing a few bad ones to find a gem. A number of the ones I've tried are ones that were made in a non-English speaking country, and they've been translated over to English. I'm totally cool with that. I don't get bent out of shape over a few typos or slightly awkward wording. I can usually understand the general point the author wanted to convey. But this particular game I had been playing was absolutely horrible. You had choose-your-own dialogue and options, but they made absolutely zero sense and often led to the exact opposite of what you wanted to actually choose.

Here's an example:

A character asks: "Would you like to join me for tea?"

Reply options:
1. "Does a green find water."
2. "I will write my song one day in you."
3. "Your face is coffee."
4. "When my shoes do feet to cafe."
5. "Most gentlemanly lady."

As a glutton for punishment, I actually continued through the entire game because I wanted to see what would happen (to be fair, it was only about 1 - 3 hours long). If there had been a ridiculous ending as payoff for suffering through the game, I wouldn't have minded so much. It would have given me a laugh. But no, the ending was serious and tried to be really deep and reflective despite terrible music. I let the credits roll, and then I exorcised my computer from that negative entity. I think with the weekly sage smudging, I've been able to stay safe and keep the evil spirits away.
