I personally have never used Linux but from recommendations and advice by my other friends, I have stayed with windows since my applications are almost entirely gaming. I dislike windows 10 but it currently is what gets the job done the easiest and best for what I need. But all in all it is entirely up to the person because both have there pros and cons and it is pretty much dependent on what you are planning on doing with the pc and OS.

This is true. While I might personally use Linux as a daily driver, and have not missed Windows, you should most definitely use the best tool for the job, even if it means Win$$. That said, many multiplayer games and thousands of singleplayer games will work fine on WINE and Proton, and indie games commonly have a native application for Linux, which can be found on itch.io

Link for ProtonDB, which has a database of all the non-linux native games that work in Linux via Steam Proton: https://www.protondb.com/

It also has a search list that contains both free, and paid games that you can sort by price.

now this is going to make me switch to linux soon okay i might switch but i am heavily into gaming idk if itll cause problems or not

Go to ProtonDB to see if your games on Steam will run. Even if it's not on the list, it's likely being worked on. And if all else fails, remember that a Linux gamer is a patient gamer.
