Call of Duty 2 and United Offensive

Does anyone still remember Call of Duty 2 and United Offensive? It was the very first online shooter I played. I really miss this old feel. Games nowadays have so much gimmicks. I lately played Hell Let Loose and it reminds me a little bit of the old Call of Dutys in terms of simplicity and vintage feeling.

I remember there was a great mod for UO. It was called German Front Mod. You were able to choose classes like medic, sniper and more. That game was so advanced back in the days but unfortunately the game is pretty much dead given that it's over 15 years old.
