Is Garys Mod still popular?

depends on where your located and what servers you get because of you region, for Australians (like myself) and I've heard also the Europeans server list is pretty much dead but I wouldn't know for certain. From personal experience because I get servers in Australian regions majority of the servers are straight up dead, there is only like 1 darkrp server that gets players and about 4 starwarsrp servers that can vary depending on the day and circumstances, the rest of the list if either filled with ping spoofed servers some of the bigger American servers and a shit load of Russian and French servers

Adding on to this when looking at the official numbers for the active player count of Garry's Mod, the game does seem to be slightly dying out, especially considering it's average in terms of active players is the lowest it has been since like 2014, but looking at the chart its clear that the game has its moments where it goes through periods of fluctuating, in fact2020 had an extremely high peak of around 60,000 players in the month of March (but this could be attributed to the fact Covid hit).
