Now, on singleplayer games, modding is amazing if done right, but i don't know if this counts as cheating.
On games like Sims or GTA, cheating for speeding up reasons, like money and all ,if used like once or twice because you are super bored, it's really ok.
Regardless,I personally prefer not to cheat.
I tried to cheat on Warframe when it first launched. I had a pretty bad connection at the time and it was hard to que with players because I'd always get disconnected. I couldn't really get any of the loot from the bosses because of it so I started playing solo. This is when I ran into a big problem. I'd always run out of ammo fighting the boss. Always. So I got a cheat to give me max ammo as soon as I ran out. I played through the boss once and was immediately banned. I would have preferred not to cheat but at the time it seemed like my only other option as I couldn't really afford higher bandwidth at the time.
It really only affected me so I was comfortable trying it but I don't really agree with cheating to win in online circumstances. It ruins the overall experience for everyone involved.
