what do i need in order to get good in basketball besides height ?

I know some dudes that are great at basketball but they're all relatively short... They couldn't make a career out of it because of their size but they'd play mostly for fun doing team v team. I'd say practice makes perfect... Practice everyday and when you can get other people involved... solo practice is great for your shots but you'll need to practice with other people!
