Any good movie reccomendations?

Ok you should definitely check out "The Nice Guys"
It's a 70s (i think?) themed buddycop movie with Russel Crowe and Ryan Gosling that's about the murder of a pornstar and the subsequent fall out.
Very good stuff, and i think it fits into both of the categories you set
