Is being lesbian/gay bad?

I in fact have had this kind of event before in my life. I had a friend from middle school that I'm still friends with to this day, unfortunately, don't talk much anymore. He came from a very conservative Christian family and tore himself apart emotionally because of his orientation. You have to understand that he's most likely scared and is torturing himself about how you will judge him. Even today and someplace it is still not okay I can go down the whole diatribe of this. It comes down to how did you think of him before you found out because that was actually him if you were good friends with him before there's no reason why you can't after. In some ways, it will allow a much more open friendship
