Whats the point of using bitcoins?

Late response here, but bitcoin is an online transformation basically. Things are changing. More people are starting to use BTC and more companies are moving to accept BTC. Overall, it's a good change to make, which I'm about to hop on board with. It gets risky to invest in it sometimes though.
