Its hard to stop doing what u love. Especially if u're good at it, and it pays well. He still high in the ranking. Might probably got the title shot against Poirier if Poirier beat Oliveira.
But yeah, i agree he's not the same fighter he used to be. Maybe because of weight class as well. Lightweight fighter didnt really hurt so bad when Conor's connects (Khabib, Nate, Poirier all got hit by good shot from Conor). He looks good when fight in a lower division. Plus he's a 1 round fighter. When he dont get the knockout in the first round, he will look like a bad fighter in the remaining round.
