I think the U.S. will see another civil war before the world gets another world war. I feel like everybody here in the states are just so divided. Few people are willing to just settle the hell down and listen to one another. We all want our side heard at the expense of not giving the other side a chance to make their case. And worse yet, it's gotten to a point where we blindly follow what we hear; no one has the time to actually go and fact check things anymore. Everything is at face value, and that's what is making the problem worse. More people now get their news from social media than ever before, and that's not to say that actual news channels are any better, because they aren't, none of them. But the fact that we get this info and then just roll with it, without a though to mole it over first is just nuts.

So I think this society all fueled up on superficiality, hatred, and bigotry is just gonna implode into another civil war.

Everybody just needs to take a step back, have a couple stiff drinks and chill out. I think we'd have a much better chance and talking things out if we altered our minds a bit, even just for a couple of hours. I mean, to think that human society, at least legit civilization has been recorded as far back as 60,000 years. Granted, that type of civilization is a far cry from what we have today. But all things considered, human civilization has been evolving for the better part of 60,000 years, and yet after all that we're still stuck on issues about race, religion, equality and so on. I mean if we haven't figured things out by now, it doesn't give me a lot of faith about our ability to do so in the future.

As far as I'm concerned, there are three truths that can't be disputed: we are all born on this earth, we all live on this earth, and we all die on the earth. Therefore, we're all in the same boat, on the same river, and all headed for the same drop off. The only difference is, we're all paddling our separate ways, which is adding a neutral force to the boat, which means for all our effort and dedication to our own beliefs and actions, we are doing absolutely nothing to change the course of the boat.

Sorry for the rant, but this kinda stuff gets me going. So yeah, my money is on civil war before world war.
