It was my linux laptop so it was mostly used for the sake of web development, which mostly was stored on my web server. All I would have lost would be a few files, login data, and my web tool applications. Most of my important files are either on an external drive, or my desktop pc. Good thing.

And you can boot into either? Well fuck that sucks. What about booting off a live cd and moving all of your important shit into a Mega then re-installing? I've done that a couple of times I've fucked up my installations and partitions.
