The 'leader' is just servant for the empire. they became a 'leader' by being corrupt and jailing BIPOC. Maybe the more uncomfortable and unstable the US becomes while China builds more allies and infrastructure, the US might try something but I think it's too late. The US Empire has become too dumb and sloppy to do anything but destroy the planet by accident or neglect.
