Why would companies pay workers less if they work from home, how does that not save t

Mostly corporate greed and the inexplicable need to control their employees every move for 8+ hours a day. I managed a call center and productivity shot through the roof when we worked from home. The minute it opened up they went right back to their old ways of oppressing the employees, morale and productivity went down.
