USB 3 only powers device, no longer registers it

So your keyboard and mouse don't work when plugged into the USB 3 slots? Hm... That's weird. I have no idea about the USB ports, but if they don't work, I'd suggest trying a different Keyboard/Mouse to see if it's a peripheral problem. If it is, try getting your Keyboard and Mouse RMA'd.
