Same, but for me was more at around 15-17 as I was not very tech-savvy until around this point. I didn't even know about that possibility. When I was 21-23 I started making my own bots for MMOs.. which around the end of that "era" I started realizing how easy and at the same time how boring was those "grinds" in MMO. Learning to make mmo bots killed my love and utter addiction to MMORPGS. Then I moved towards games that has almost no grind and it was all about skills, and decided that it wasn't fun to play a game if i didn't actually have the skills built into my muscles. Unless its a single-player story game to play with friends together on some home party, I only care about skill competitive games.
I still popup Cheat Engine if I am playing some single-player story game with my friends that "requires" grinding.. then I just pump level to max and currency to max. If I am playing a game like Nier... I want to play and I want the story.. I don't want to freaking grind for some "CPUs"...
But multiplayer skill games I never cheat anymore or there is no point for me.
