Had it for around a year, and I have rooted it once but I didn't like it because Private Mode other features did not work. I am currently in the Android 6.0 Beta testing for Galaxy S6. I read on XDA and several other forums that Private Mode and the other features have been fixed and are fully functional now. I don't know if I should risk it and root the phone. I don't think I'm going to need phone AS service any time soon anyways though.
I don't know what do you think? What are the benefits to rooting a android? If you have a Galaxy S6, is Private Mode fixed?
If you're just doing it for the private mode it's not worth the risk. Especially because the warranty will be void. If you're going to do more things with it you could do it.
Edit: Rooting itself isn't really worth it in general if you're "just" a user. There are just a few apps that need root. If you're "hacking" around with it (aka working with system files and so on) then it might be worth it.
But if you're going to install a custom rom (which includes root most of the time) it's pretty much worth it as long as you're aware that your warranty is void (especially with Samsung devices) because of the "Triangle Counter". I for myself have installed CM 12.1 on my Galaxy S3 mini because of the privacy settings.
