RE: is chess a sport? 28-03-2022, 05:27 AM #9 It is classed as a sport, as it is competitive and of course there are offical tournaments and trophies. Sport doesnt have to be physical. It's more of a sport than e-sports as it requires genuine skill, as opposed to say Fifa which is a terrible football game for kids.
