Which is more of a reason not to use them. Everyone has them. Better to be unique.
Though 50 emotes will probably cost a ton.. Not to mention if they're good they'll get ripped anyway.
But why 50 of them?
Because that's how many we have right now. Also having a smiley face and a sad face wouldn't be enough.
Hence why I said that I believe just using presets like twitter snapchat or android emojis would be so much easier, custom smilies don't really need to be a priority, but more so giving the comments a "new face" in a sense.
