When I sent a group of emojis to my friend(has an iphone) from my android phone, all she saw was "??????????????????????????"

Isn't it vice versa?
I used to send my sister emojis from my iphone to her HTC (Android based) and she just received empty textboxes.
But any emojis she sent me I was able to see. (Like iOS has every emoji but Android hasn't and isn't able to see those)
