Edibles vs. Flower: Your Preference and Why?

Not only are edibles hit/miss for effectiveness, I can get more flower for a lot less than edibles. $80 for 1.5oz of flower is the average, but it'll vary depending on stock, and that much will keep me smoked for a month at least.
