True, you're right in the sense that I took the lazy way and gave him the generic answer. While your points are both valid and reasonable, I still stand in the stance that he would still be better off learning how to code properly. Not only would it be better in the long run, but it's a beneficial skill that could and probably would serve him well. Although, I don't see how my response was selfish. I could easily tell him to piss off, but instead I'd at least try to point him in some form of direction.
Yeah fuck doing anything yourself to be honest. You can just get plugins and be a make-believe coder yourself. I'm sure running a forum with no knowledge on design or scripting languages would be a good idea. Not to mention not putting enough effort to research.
