Regardless of it being an overused style (which I do a lot of myself), this is a beautiful userbar. The shapes drawn go well together and are unique and, the glows are placed in good spots (although it would balance the userbar out if you put glows on bottom right and left or sides.)
Based on what I've seen you make before in terms of userbars, I can definitely see an improvement.

I was thinking the same about the glows. The bottom of the sides are just left "bare".
