I’ve been playing League on and off for years, and I recently found myself thinking about how much has changed since Season 6. Back then, it felt like the game was more about individual skill, and we had some iconic metas (remember the Juggernaut patch and Dynamic Queue drama?). Fast forward to now, and it’s a completely different vibe with dragons, mythic items, and faster pacing.
Here’s what I’ve noticed comparing the two:
Season 6 Highlights:
Lane matchups felt more impactful, and small leads could snowball harder.
Champion design wasn’t as overloaded; simpler kits made mechanical skill shine.
Dynamic Queue was a controversial experiment, but I kind of miss the chaos.
Current League:
Objectives like dragons and Rift Heralds feel like they dictate everything now.
Mythic items add depth but also make balance seem even harder.
Games feel faster, but sometimes it’s overwhelming how quickly things can spiral.
What about you? Do you think League is in a better place now, or was Season 6 peak LoL for you? I’m curious to hear everyone’s perspectives, especially from long-time players. What do you miss—or love—about the current state of the game?
