Immortality - Gift or Curse?

For me it would be a gift potentially. First I'd need to rid myself of these chronic illnesses. I don't have a super large amount of people close to me that I would miss besides general family. I also would love to travel the starts and find the origins of life. Not us, but where we came from potentially.
