How did you first get into Anime?

I always loved Japanese Culture and started watching anime on TV when I was kid.
Maybe the first i watched was Dragon Ball ! In France we had a show named Club Dorothe (1987) and in this show there are some anime like Dragon Ball, Captain Tsubasa and other ^^
