You have to change the user group permissions inside the thread. So if you only wanted a VIP user group to view "VIP Thread" inside the VIP Forum, you'd have to set view for everyone, a part from VIP, to not view. It's literally a simple case of moving View from the left section to the right.

True but thats not the problem the problem is that members will see the titles etc of the posts made in vip in the sidebar. They cannot view the thread but i just dont want the threads to show up for dat usergroup in sidebar.

For example if i make a thread called bla bla bla in vip the sidebar shows Bla bla bla made by username but also people who are not vip will see dat. I only want regular members to see regular members threads and vip members can view all and so on.
