LIFE (2017) SCI-FI

Does anyone know what nationality the fishermen were? I couldn't decipher what language they were speaking. Was it Vietnamese? There were some Vietnamese words I thought I heard, but I am not sure.
My review: Decent movie. Good watch, but I'll forget about it. I kind of wish I got to know the characters just a little bit better. Huge surprised to me when Ryan Reynold's character died giving how much of a big star he is.
