Not even mentioning emulators being able to play tons of consoles and machines in one.
I honestly think smartphone gaming is vastly subpar to an actual console dedicated for portable gaming. The lack of physical buttons feel abysmal. In terms of emulators, the 3DS has that too. You get even more emulation with homebrew as well. Also, I'd like to see a "port" of a 3DS game on a smartphone, cause there are practically none. Why? Because smartphones aren't at the point where they can do that yet.
Fire Emblem: Heroes? It's like comparing checkers to chess. It's just a gatcha game with strategy. Super Mario Run? Not even close to an actual Mario main title. Miitomo? It's just a (limited) social media app in a nutshell.
Sure, there are some pretty cool games on mobile devices. You've got things like Infinity Blade on iOS devices. But how does that stack up to something like the Monster Hunter titles?
tl;dr, your point has little merit. It's like you're knocking on something that you haven't even tried.
