I didn't see any link rules, so here's a link to an image. Notice how handhelds were a tiny percentage of the market. And that was 2014, two years after the 3DS release, and I THINK the XL release.

Any CoD game, Grand Theft Auto, tons of children are playing mature rated games, mainly on consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One. (These exceptions make up a LOT of what children are playing, and if not those mobile games and PC games are dominant.)

My point isnt that Nintendo isn't making good decisions, it's that their main demographic is loosing interest.

Sorry, forgot the link in last post.

Quality of the games doesn't make up for the lack of interest from children. What child raised in this decade would want an RPG when the media and social media influences push your plain FPS or Grand Theft Auto? Children are manipulated by advertisers giving them what they tell them to want.

Keep in mind that link is from 2014, & Nintendo doesn't just have handheld consoles... I do kinda understand where you're coming from. The Wii U might not have games such as GTA & whatever CoD, which are no doubt popular games. But that'snot all kids play (And it's not just children that use Nintendo products...)

It's not like they don't make up for not having those types of "mainstream". Most of the games for the Wii u,3ds, Nswitch (And previous gaming systems)are "exclusive" to Nintendo, I can't go out and buy the latest Zelda game on an Xbox or PlayStation. Another very popular game exclusive to Nintendo.

And don't be under the impression that Nintendoconsoles don't have any FPS's or "Violent" games, The Wii actually had a few CoD games, it also has Deuxex, Cabela's Dangerous hunt (If that counts lmao) and some others

The WII U has some as well Sniper Elite, ZombiU, The walking dead, CoDblack ops 2 & CoD Ghosts

When I was younger I had an Xbox, And while I did play games such as GTA4, Halo and Whatever CoD was out at the time, It wasn't social media or advertising tricking me into playing these games, I played GTABecause I wanted to fucking run people over, and shoot everything in sight.

We go to the present, my younger sister occasionally will play GTA but it's not because of anything like "Social Media" I was playing it one day, she thought it looked fun, and I let her play it... (There's nothing more to it...) The main console that gets used in my household is by far still our WII U. Especially since I soft modded it, It can nowplay Gamecube games which everyone loves.

The 3DS has a lot of pretty Popular games as well, IMO the biggest one being Pokemon.

So... Yeah I think Nintendo's consoles are still needed, I think theirgreatest aspect is how much fun they are to play with other people, and the wide variety of co-op games.

TL;DR

Kids don't just play violent games, It's not just children that play Nintendo consoles, Nintendo has a lot of Co-op& unique games.

Nintendo still has popular games out there...

And lastly, Nintendo has FPS's/"Mature Games"

Examples:

The Wii: [spoiler]Actually had a few CoD games, it also has Deuxex, Cabela's Dangerous hunt (If that counts lmao) and some others

The WII U:
Sniper Elite, ZombiU, The walking dead, CoDblack ops 2 & CoD Ghosts
