I mean sure it would be nice, but what about the person who's money it originally was, if it was nobodies money, then what about the person that would have walked by after me, they could have been a single mom raising 3 kids because their drunk of a father walked off one day to never be seen again until he returned towards the end of his life regretting his decision to leave and wanting to meet the adult children that he has no right to meet, but the kids won't see that, they'll just see the father that they always wanted and forgive him because that's how the world works. What if that single mother was on the brink of depression and wanted to end it all because she feared that her kids deserved better and she thought she couldn't give any better, what if she was going to kill herself to feed her children through the brutal child services of whatever country we were from. What if the 10k dollars was able to feed her family for one week and enough for her to change her appearance and possibly get a real job from (money does that, not education :( ) What if she used that money to feed her kids real meals for a month, then had the rest, let's say 5000 to purchase toys for the children for christmas, what if this was the first christmas that these children would see because they'd been too poor to afford a real christmas in the past. Don't you think that she deserves the $10,000 more than you?
