Well, at some point it surely will drop. I don't think that'll be too soon tho.
And yes, observation is annoying, thats one of the reasons why I don't really care about the crypto currencies. Also the other currencies have the same peoblem as btc had: Noone accepts them as a payment. Even bitcoin isn't accepted everywhere but currencies like ether aren't accepted anywhere
