I was thinking about buying some VR shit, mainly for gaming and game development since I can just buy some shitty Google Cardboard knockoff for movies and porn. I know that most people that don't need to worry about budget go for the Vive, but I also need to upgrade some shit in my computer so I was wondering if cheaper alternatives such as the Oculus Rift are as good as the Viveor if I should just save up and upgrade my computer first, then save up for the Viveor whatever the gold standard is at the time of purchase.
