The Illuminati - Truth

So, you may have heard of the Illuminati, a secret organization that is powered by conspiracy theories and pop stars and is currently planning world domination? Right, well that is all fake.

So, the Illuminati is commonly associated with anything that portrays sin in the Bible, (such as voodoo and 666). The truth is, The Order of the Illuminati is a free-thinking humanist association, (basically an atheist - only group that believes that the Bible is restricting information). It all began in Germany, where a group of budding scientists wanted to know more about the universe. They created an organization in Germany. The church was very popular at the time and demonized them, generating propaganda about the Order of the Illuminati. Galileo Galilei (famous for debunking the Copernicus theory about the Solar System) was a member of the Illuminati and was burnt at a stake as a punishment for being a heretic (a non-Christian in a Christian dominant country).

And as for the logo... that's the Eye of Providence, also used in the old American dollar bill. The Eye of Providence means God is all-seeing, used as irony as they were an atheist group.
