Is this game really dead?

It will always be one of those go-to games for me. When I have kids they'll play it, and pass it down to future generations. Minecraft has made itself a standard in the gaming industry, Microsoft has made attempts to have everyone just hop on and play regardless of platform, but in doing so they have turned a little bit like EA with microtransactions and ignoring what the people want. Hopefully that changes
