So much ignorance...

So, think of bitcoin as the foundation of all other cryptos. Without bitcoin, there wouldn't have been an Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, etc. Bitcoin created the cryptocurrency boom that we're all hearing about on the news today.

Don't think of it as needing to have ~$18k to invest into one full bitcoin. You can start with as little as $20 depending on what exchange you use, and you can purchase fractions of bitcoin, eth, or other cryptos, to trade for other crypto currencies / ico's.

TL;DR: I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for bitcoin.
