How to buy BTC with paypal?

I think you can buy BTC using coinbase, not 100% sure but a friend of mine said thats what he did, then he spent the BTC to buy other alt coins. He went form $2000 to just above 10K in 6 months investing in smaller ALT coins. I'm looking into doing the same because well who dosent want more money in there lifes!
